2 hurt in collision near Quincy

QUINCY — Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision near Quincy on Saturday.

About 4:30 p.m. a 17-year-old Ephrata girl was reportedly driving a 2004 Kia Spectra east on state Route 28, about a mile west of Quincy, and came up behind a 2013 Ford Edge driven by Gregory Ingham, 59, of Edgewood. Ingham was reportedly stopped and attempting to make a left turn when his vehicle was struck in the rear by the girl’s car, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Ingham and the girl were injured and transported to Quincy Valley Medical Center for treatment. Both of the vehicles involved sustained reportable damages and were towed from the scene.

The patrol reports the cause of the collision was the girl driving too fast. She was cited for speeding.
