Royal tracksters fare well

ROYAL CITY — Joe Lang placed first twice, and Maggie Delay placed first once to lead the Royal High track teams at the Quincy Invitational on Saturday.

Lang took first place in 110 hurdles with a clocking of 15:33. He claimed the long jump with a leap of 21-2.25. Delay won the 100 hurdles in a time of 15:50.

The Royal boys finished in eight place among 17 teams. The girls finished fifth among 19 teams. Long distance runner extraordinaire Kay Lester did not compete. She was resting a minor leg injury.
