PROJECT: A Conditional Use Permit to enable the placement and use of Conex storage containers for agricultural processing on a portion of an approximately 581.89-acre parcel in the Urban Heavy Industrial zoning district of Grant County.

Notice is hereby given that a Conditional Use Permit application received by Grant County on February 29, 2016 from Growhouses Washington LLC (Applicant Representative: Alex Kaulins. Designated Contacts: Del Greene & Larry Angell, Columbia Northwest Engineering, 249 N. Elder Street, Moses Lake, WA 98837, 509-766-1226) was found to be technically complete on March 18, 2016. PROJECT: A Conditional Use Permit to enable the placement and use of Conex storage containers for agricultural processing on a portion of an approximately 581.89-acre parcel in the Urban Heavy Industrial zoning district of Grant County. The storage containers will be used in conjunction with the operation of a 90 ft. x 120 ft. (approximately 10,800 square ft.) greenhouse and two 30,000-square ft. outdoor growing areas. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Building Permits, Site Plan Review, SEPA Determination. STUDIES REQUIRED: Wetland Delineation Evaluation completed 10-28-15. LOCATION: The subject area is an approximately 33.41-acre portion of Parcel #31-3357-000. The site address of the subject parcel is 13055 Road 2 NE, Moses Lake, WA. The subject area is located approximately 1.75 miles northeast of the intersection of Interstate 90 and State Highway 17 (Exit 179), and approximately 1 mile east of the intersection of Nelson Road NE and Road L NE, and in the NW quarter of Section 29, Township 19 North, Range 29 East, WM, Grant County, WA. PRESENT ZONING: Urban Heavy Industrial. PUBLIC HEARING: Hearing Examiner meeting tentatively scheduled at 12:00 noon, May 11, 2016, in Commissioners' Hearing Room of Grant County Courthouse in Ephrata, WA. At this time any person(s) may appear and provide testimony. CONSISTENCY STATEMENT: This proposal is subject to and shall be consistent with Grant County Code, International Building Code, and International Fire Code.
