MOSES LAKE — A man was arrested after allegedly pointing a BB gun at a woman who was attempting to repossess his vehicle.

About 12:10 p.m. on Saturday a woman attempted to repossess a vehicle belonging to Christopher Henderson, 34, in the 1000 block of West Central Drive. Henderson reportedly stood in the road, blocking the woman’s ability to leave, and displayed what appeared to be a firearm, according to Moses Lake Police Department Capt. David Sands.

The woman, who was driven to the scene in a taxi, told Henderson she was in the process of repossessing the vehicle, not stealing it. Eventually the woman got out of Henderson’s vehicle and Henderson entered the car and allegedly attempted to run the woman over. Henderson stopped the car in his driveway and allegedly pointed the firearm at the woman. The woman advised the taxi driver to contact police and Henderson allegedly said the gun wasn’t real. He reportedly took the magazine out of the firearm and threw it near another vehicle, and then gave the gun to a small child, who took the gun inside the Central Drive residence.

Officers responded to the scene and detained Henderson. A search warrant conducted at the residence and officers reportedly recovered a BB gun, stated Sands. Henderson was arrested and booked into the Grant County Jail on suspicion of first-degree robbery.
