MOSES LAKE — A Moses Lake woman was arrested after reportedly contacting a police officer to set up a drug deal. The call was accidental.

About 9 a.m. on Thursday Delana Williams, 37, of Moses Lake, contacted an officer with the Moses Lake Police Department on his cellphone. Williams reportedly asked the officer if he still wanted to purchase some oxycodone.

“The taken aback officer told the female subject (Williams) that he did, and a meeting was set,” Capt. David Sands said. “The female clearly did not know she had called the wrong number.”

Officers and detectives were able to positively identify Williams and went to complete the drug transaction, behind Aaron’s on West Valley Road. Williams arrived at the location on foot and she was taken into custody. She reportedly told police she was not there to sell drugs.

Williams was reportedly found to be in possession of 21 pills of oxycodone hydrochloride, .11 grams of suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia. She was booked into the Grant County Jail on drug charges.
