March 17

Report of an iPhone stolen from a church on South Division Street.

A woman reported someone went through her vehicle in the 800 block of East Hill Avenue and stole a phone charger.

A man contacted police stating while he was in jail somebody threw an alternator through the back window of his residence in the 500 block of South Barbara Avenue. Numerous items were stolen during the burglary and the man said he believed the suspects are the people who previously had him arrested.

A man was arrested and booked into the Grant County Jail after stealing six cans of alcohol from Walmart and fleeing the scene. The man was contacted and admitted to stealing the alcohol. The suspect was previously trespassed from the store.

A woman advised a person put paint on her car in the 1000 block of South Evergreen Drive as she was leaving the residence. The suspect admitted to putting paint on the woman’s vehicle due to them not liking one another.

A student at Moses Lake High School was found to be in possession of four grams of marijuana. The boy said he was anticipating selling the marijuana to make money so he could play in an upcoming three-on-three basketball tournament. The boy was taken to his home and released to his father. Charges in the case are pending.

A student at Chief Moses Middle School was found to be in possession of 18.8 grams of a green vegetable matter. The boy advised he stole the substance from a subject who called his father a derogatory term. Criminal charges are going to be forwarded to the Grant County Prosecutor’s Office.

Report of a hit-and-run of a fire hydrant in the 900 block of East Nelson Road.

Police contacted a man who was in the Walmart parking lot asking for money. The man was previously trespassed from the location. He was arrested and re-trespassed from Walmart. Marijuana was reportedly found in the man’s backpack and he was released from the scene.

A man reported his motorcycle was stolen in the 1100 block of North Stratford Road. Witnesses watched the suspect steal the motorcycle and ride south on Stratford Road wearing the victim’s helmet.

March 16

A fraudulent call purporting to be from the IRS was reported.

A male was reportedly hitting a female holding a baby as they were walking up a street.

A woman reported that her neighbor was harassing her.

A woman reported that a male in a Ford Explorer was fighting with her boyfriend.

An irrigation line was reportedly dug up during the night.

A man reported that he was being blackmailed by somebody who threatened to post information online if he didn’t send them money.

A woman reported that her ex was not having their children call her and was not answering her calls, in violation of their parenting order.

A possibly suicidal subject was reported in the Vantage area.

A man reported hearing a loud bang and discovering that his neighbor was trying to break into his own house. The neighbor was reportedly hostile.

March 17

Two dogs were reported running at large near O’Sullivan Resort.

A woman reported that a female ran up to her vehicle, banged on the side and screamed for help.

Cattle were reported in the road on Adams Road.

Three people separately reported receiving fraudulent calls claiming to be from the IRS.

A subject who appeared to be on drugs was reportedly looking in mailboxes.

A woman reported that her sons’ dirt bikes were stolen.

A car was reported stuck in the middle of the road near Ephrata. The car appeared to have been in multiple accidents.

A man reported that an 18-year-old male at his home was out of control and damaging property.

A male and a female were reported walking and fighting on Road 20. The male was punching and hitting the female.

A bag of something that looked like mail was reported on the side of the road.

A man reported that his ex was refusing to drop off their children in violation of their parenting plan.

A woman reported finding a padlock on her shed that wasn’t there when she bought the house.

A woman reported that items were missing from her residence and she believed her ex might have taken them.

Two subjects were reported breaking into a van.

A man reported that a male had come to his door holding a gun and saying that the police were looking for him.

March 18

A female reportedly slit her wrists.

A woman reported an unknown male sleeping in a vehicle in her driveway. The reporting party was unable to get onto her property.

Two males were reported walking around dressed in black and carrying backpacks. The two were trying to open car doors and truck canopies and also walking up to houses.

An orchard trailer was reportedly burglarized.

March 14

Jose Ramirez, 21, of Ephrata, was arrested for Grant County Superior Court information.

Jessica Ramos, 36, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on Grant County District Court warrants.

Kyle Armour, 25, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on a Department of Corrections warrant for probation violation.

Tony Alvarez, 19, of Quincy, was arrested and booked for second-degree taking a motor vehicle without permission and second-degree driving with a suspended/revoked license.

March 15

Freddie Cruz, 39, of Moses Lake, was arrested for a Department of Corrections order.

Cynthia Keener, 53, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on a Grant County District Court warrant.

Mary Ruiz, 25, of Moses Lake, was arrested for a DOC order.

Daniel Cummins, 30, of Ephrata, was booked on a GCDC warrant.

Armando Perez, 22, of Moses Lake, was arrested on a Grant County Superior Court warrant.

Earl Navarette, 50, of Spokane, was booked on a GCDC warrant.

Catarino Juarez, 21, of Tacoma, was arrested for a GCDC warrant.

Erika Pruneda, 26, of Warden, was arrested for GCDC warrants.

Reynaldo Vargas, 30, of Burien, was arrested for a GCDC warrant.

John Cattin, 30, of Entiat, was booked on two GCDC warrants.

Robert Hall, 36, of Moses Lake, was arrested for a DOC secretary’s warrant.

David Mayhak, 49, of Moses Lake, was booked on a GCDC five-day commitment.

Kyle Schulz, 31, of Ephrata, was arrested and booked on a DOC order of arrest and detention for violations of probation.

Brett Darling, 18, a transient, was booked on a GCDC warrant.

Shawn Fisher, 33, of Grand Coulee, was arrested and booked for violating a no-contact order.
