MOSES LAKE — Whether you’re an international conglomerate with a global footprint or running a family business, technology is the common ingredient to success in today’s market.

Hagadone Digital marketing expert Doug Schust and account executive R.J. Miller will address new technology that can help drive local business in Grant County to new heights when they address the Grant County Economic Development Council Building Prosperity 2016 luncheon series on April 5. The luncheon will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Masto Conference Center at the ATEC Building at Big Bend Community College.

“The common link is that we use technology to engage with people, whether you’re corporate or a mom and pop shop, you’re still going to have your followers that will engage in your business,” Schust said. “I’m going to use social channel as a prime example. If I’m a coffee shop, how big of a website do I really need? You probably need a one-, two-, three-page site, but what’s more important is to have a really good, strong Facebook page. But if I’m Mitsubishi and I’m moving into town, I need a really powerful 10-to-15 page website that talks what our corporate strengths are, how we support the community and all those elements that come into play.”

Schust will touch on other methods of driving traffic that have become effective over the last several years. From a collective standpoint, the discussion will talk about how to leverage digital marketing.

“We’ll take them through six of the top 10 strategies, however many we can in the time frame,” Schust said. “Whether you’re a Fortune 500 or a local coffee shop, there some things you can do to not only help your business, but support your business on an ongoing basis. I will touch on some of those things and we’ll be giving some examples that Mitsubishi could take away and learn from, and also the person that owns the local coffee shop can use.”

Schust will also be providing participants with a copy of his book called “Digital Minds: 12 Things Every Business Needs to Know About Digital Marketing” to give them a reference source to issues not addressed during the discussions.
