MOSES LAKE — Two men and a woman were arrested for warrants early Wednesday morning after police received a report of arguing and screaming coming from a Moses Lake apartment. The female suspect allegedly hid in a closet from police to avoid arrest.

About 1:50 a.m. a woman contacted police after hearing arguing, a woman screaming, pounding and banging noises coming from an apartment in the 1,500 block of South Monroe Street, according to Moses Lake Police Department Capt. David Sands.

A MLPD officer reportedly heard yelling from the apartment when he arrived at the scene. Taveres Bowman, 23, of Moses Lake, reportedly answered the door at the apartment and police learned he had a valid warrant for his arrest out of Grant County for third-degree driving with a suspended/revoked license. A second man, identified as Giovanni Powell, 25, of Moses Lake, came out of the apartment as it was being searched and officers learned he also had a valid warrant for his arrest out of Grant County for third-degree driving with a suspended/revoked license.

A woman, Alejandra Loera, 23, of Moses Lake, who reportedly had two valid warrants for her arrest, allegedly knew she had warrants out for her arrest and hid in a closet from officers to avoid arrest, Sands explained. Her warrants were out of Grant County for third-degree driving with a suspended/revoked license and driving without a license.

Bowman, Powell and Loera were booked into the Grant County Jail for their warrants. Loera was cited for resisting arrest.
