Patricia Louise Suko

February 19, 1942 – March 15, 2016

Patricia Louise Suko, 74, of Rathdrum, Idaho passed away March 15, 2016 at her home. Patricia was born Feb. 19, 1942 in Burley, Idaho to Fred and Martha (Paulson) Babcock. As a child, Patricia moved with her family to Warden, Wash. where she attended and graduated from high school in 1960.

She then went on to nursing training at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, Wash. and earned her RN certification. Patricia later worked at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake, Wash. as an RN, until she met Gary Suko. They were married shortly thereafter on Dec. 5, 1964. They were married 51 years when she passed.

After their marriage, Patricia worked as a proud housewife, and helped on the family wheat farm until 1996 when Patricia and Gary retired to Moses Lake, Wash., and finally North Idaho in 2014 to be closer to family.

She was a member of the Warden Community Church, where she was active in the choir, and the Ladies Aid. Patricia loved golfing and was a member of the Moses Lake Country Club for years. She also loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed attending their sporting events. She was a master gardener and loved to grow flowers vegetables, and indoor plants. She loved the outdoors, snow skiing, and her daily phone calls to her sister Mary.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband Gary Suko of the family home in Rathdrum, Idaho; four sons Mike (Ruby Acenas) Suko of Seattle, Wash., Jay (Stephanie) Suko of Hayden, Idaho, Brian (Julie) Suko of Lake Tapps, Wash., and Bruce (Kim) Suko of Hauser, Idaho; one brother Fred (Karen) Babcock Jr. of Eugene, Ore.; one sister Mary (Larry) Jeske of Washougal, Ore.; six grandchildren Jesslyn, Nolan, Christian, Wen, Sydney, and Devon; and four nephews Mark Babcock, Phillip Babcock, Leon Alzola, and Adam Jeske. She was preceded in death by her parents and one nephew Dale Jeske.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Bell Tower Funeral Home, 3398 E. Jenalan Ave. Post Falls, Idaho.

The family suggests that memorials be made to the Scleroderma Foundation at 300 Rosewood Dr. Suite 105 Danvers, MA 01923.
