Moses Lake Police Department

March 15

Three teens on bicycles took a pack of cigarettes off the porch of an apartment in the area of South Division Street and East Seventh Avenue and fled the scene. A man gave chase to the teens, but could not catch them. Police could not find the teens.

A woman reported someone has been using her Social Security number to obtain medical care in Florida. Further information is needed from the Department of Social and Human Services in order for the case to be referred to authorities in Florida, or possibly the FBI.

Police contacted a woman in the area of East Fourth Avenue and South Division Street who was reportedly yelling and walking barefoot. The woman reportedly had four valid warrants out for her arrest.

A student at Moses Lake High School was reportedly found to be in possession of eight iPhones, seven of which were reportedly stolen. Officers were able to track down the owners of a few of the stolen phones.

A woman called police stating she believed she witnessed a drug deal take place in the area of West Peninsula Drive and South Sycamore Lane. Officers in the area did not locate the alleged suspects.

Two people were permanently trespassed from MLHS after they were observed wandering around the campus.

Report of a long board stolen off a porch in the 1300 block of East Megan Drive.

A man advised police a vehicle was traveling fast through his neighborhood. The witness said he suspected the vehicle’s occupant is involved in drug and gang activity. Officers did not find the vehicle.

Report of an erratically driven black Honda passenger car on East Nelson Road. The vehicle was not located by officers.

Officers responded to the 2400 block of West Texas Street for a report of a person shooting a bow and arrow, but were not able to locate the person.

Freddie Cruz, 39, of Moses Lake, was arrested for a Department of Corrections order.

Cynthia Keener, 53, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on a Grant County District Court warrant.

Mary Ruiz, 25, of Moses Lake, was arrested for a DOC order.

Daniel Cummins, 30, of Ephrata, was booked on a GCDC warrant.

Armando Perez, 22, of Moses Lake, was arrested on a Grant County Superior Court warrant.

Earl Navarette, 50, of Spokane, was booked on a GCDC warrant.

Catarino Juarez, 21, of Tacoma, was arrested for a GCDC warrant.

Erika Pruneda, 26, of Warden, was arrested for GCDC warrants.

Reynaldo Vargas, 30, of Burien, was arrested for a GCDC warrant.

John Cattin, 30, of Entiat, was booked on two GCDC warrants.

Robert Hall, 36, of Moses Lake, was arrested for a DOC secretary’s warrant.

David Mayhak, 49, of Moses Lake, was booked on a GCDC five-day commitment.

Kyle Schulz, 31, of Ephrata, was arrested and booked on a DOC order of arrest and detention for violations of probation.

Brett Darling, 18, a transient, was booked on a GCDC warrant.

Shawn Fisher, 33, of Grand Coulee, was arrested and booked for violating a no-contact order.

A woman reported suspicious persons sitting across the road from her residence talking about residences as though they might be thinking about breaking into one.

A man reported his son’s dirt bike stolen.

A man reported that two males jumped into his neighbor’s yard and watched him as he walked off.

Pigs were reported running at large.

Students were reported shooting BB guns on the Royal High School campus.

A possibly stolen vehicle was reported for sale via Craigslist.

A woman reported that hunters were in a safety zone and refused to leave.

Two fraudulent phone calls were reported claiming to be from the IRS.

A woman reported that her son has not returned from school.

A man reported receiving several messages, purportedly from the IRS, threatening to sue him.

A woman reported that her shed had been broken into.

A woman woke up and reportedly heard what sounded like somebody kicking in her shed.
