Chiefs soccer games are worth attending

| March 17, 2016 1:45 PM

On March 11, a Friday evening, my family and I went to Lions Field to watch the Chiefs boys soccer team. Their opponent in their first game was the Gonzaga Bull Pups from Spokane.

I must admit that I haven’t been to many of the boys’ soccer games in the last couple of years. But Friday’s game was well worth going to. Ryan Allred, the new coach, has put together a great coaching staff: Greg, the two Richies and Nick Wallace. Plus, the players seem to be really enjoying the game, which makes it great for us fans.

Coaches Ryan and Nick Wallace are affiliated with the Endeavour Soccer Academy, and some of the Endeavour member kids were there chasing down soccer balls and being involved, which helps the game go a little faster.

Oh, the Chiefs won the game 2-1.

If you have kids, boys or girls, who play soccer (or want to), bring them to the chiefs’ next home game. They’ll have a good time. The next game is against Woodinville at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 19 at Lions Field.
