Moses Lake Police Department

March 10

Officers found a tent and mountain bike on the south end of the Japanese Peace Gardens. City employees impounded the two items.

A woman reported leaving her debit card in an ATM in the 700 block of South Wanapum Drive. A person reportedly took the debit card and made several transactions around the city and online.

Report of a paddle boat stolen from a lumber yard on West Marina Drive.

A man reported his stereo was stolen from his unlocked vehicle in the Walmart parking lot.

Report of a neglected cat on East Walnut Avenue. The cat reportedly had a cyst on one of its eyes. Police were able to find the cat’s owner, who told officers the cat primarily stays outside and said she has medicine for the cat’s condition.

A man reported witnessing a man in a fenced area behind a residence in the 400 block of South Schneirla Avenue. The suspect reportedly fled the scene when the reporting party approached him.

A woman reported her son’s cellphone was either lost or stolen from Lake Bowl on March 5.

An unknown man reportedly entered Safeway and filled a shopping cart with about $385 worth of groceries and attempted to leave the store without purchasing the items. Store personnel stopped the suspect and took possession of the cart. The man fled the store in an unknown vehicle.

Report of three subjects in a parking lot in the 6300 block of Patton Boulevard with backpacks. Officers could not locate the subjects.

Grant County Jail

March 10

Matthew Hazenberg, 34, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked for attempting to elude and a Department of Corrections secretary’s warrant for violation of probation.

Steven Marr, 33, of Moses Lake, was booked for possession of methamphetamine and a Grant County District Court administrative warrant.

Dale McConnell, 44, of Ephrata, was booked on a GCDC warrant.

Bulmaro Hernandez, 22, of Royal City, was arrested for first-degree burglary, fourth-degree assault and a GCDC warrant.

Freddie Cruz, 39, of Moses Lake, was arrested for a DOC order.

Brandon Delaughder, 26, of Moses Lake, was arrested for a GCDC warrant and Grant County Superior Court warrant.

Suyedid Vargas, 25, of Wenatchee, was booked on a GCDC warrant.

Juan Ruiz, 29, of Moses Lake, was booked for possession of meth and first-degree driving with a suspended/revoked license.
