Tragedy avoided in Mae's life

Many of us receive our Columbia Basin Herald in a plastic bag when there is rain and snow in the forecast. Sometimes there is a knot tied in the open end to keep the moisture from the paper. Sometimes the open end is simply pushed back into the bag after the paper is placed inside, which also keeps the moisture from the paper. My challenge to you, the readers, is to submit suggestions for using the once-used bags for another purpose.
