Closure at Five Corners intersection set for Wednesday

| March 8, 2016 12:45 PM

MOSES LAKE — A busy Moses Lake intersection will be closed for about nine hours on Wednesday as a new traffic signal controller is installed.

The city’s contractor is scheduled to install the new traffic signal controller, which will replace the current controller that isn’t adequately functioning, at the “Five Corners” intersection at Fifth Avenue, Wheeler Road and Pioneer Way, according to Public Works Superintendent Michael Moro. Traffic signals will not be in operation from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the intersection.

Traffic will be either diverted or controlled by flaggers as the controller is installed. Moro said traffic delays may arise during the installation. For more information contact Moro at 509-764-3949 or 509-750-3438.
