She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Helen Gorges of Colwich, Kan. and brothers Ted and Steve Gorges of Colwich, Kan.

She is survived and will be dearly missed by her husband Tom Youngers of Moses Lake, Wash.; brothers Bill (Florence) Gorges of Goodard, Kan., Ron (Ruth) Gorges of Mt. Hope, Kan., Jim (Judy) Gorges of Wichita, Kan., and Dick Gorges of Colwich, Kan.; sister Mary Lou (Gorges) (Bart) Mohr of Luther, Okla.; children Sandra (Youngers) (David) North of Ephrata, Wash., Tim (Kim) Youngers of Brewster, Wash., and Kirk Youngers of Ephrata, Wash.; 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Rosie was born at home in Colwich, Kan. on Jan. 29, 1940. Rosie was the oldest of nine children born to Otto and Helen Gorges. Rosie graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Wichita and worked as a secretary following graduation.

Rosie met Tom Youngers at a wedding dance, and the two soon fell in love and married at Sacred Heart Church in Colwich, Kan. on Oct. 17, 1959. She continued to work as a secretary for an insurance company at Continental Casualty in Wichita until they moved to southern California. Once in California, Tom went to work for Aeronutronics in Newport Beach, Calif. They then moved to Santa Ana, CA where they lived for three years and had their first two children Sandra Lee and Timothy Craig. They then moved to Laguna Niguel, Calif. where they had their third child, Kirk Thomas. While living in California, Rosie worked as both an Avon lady and a hair stylist. After 14 years they moved to Ephrata, Wash. where they purchased a farm. While there, she worked for Willow Drive Nursery during the winter season. After raising their family in the countryside of Ephrata, they moved to Moses Lake and built a beautiful home on the Moses Lake Golf Course. Rosie soon joined the Women’s Division of Golf and was a member of the Moses Lake Golf and Country Club for over 20 years. Golf was a hobby both she and Tom truly enjoyed. Once retired, she and Tom began traveling south during the winter season and soon purchased a condo in La Quinta, Calif. For the past 20 years, they were able to enjoy the coldest months of the year in sunny California.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 200 N Dale Road in Moses Lake, Wash. Please sign the online guestbook or leave a note for the family at www.kayserschapel.com. Arrangements are in care of Kayser’s Chapel & Crematory.
