Senior picnic a resounding success

Congratulations to Confluence Health, the Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce and all the other generous sponsors of the 2nd Annual Senior Picnic. The event was a resounding success with over 400 happy seniors in attendance at the free event, enjoying a delicious lunch with tender chicken prepared by the excellent cooking staff at the Moses Lake Senior Center.

Many fine door prizes were given away during the event and the Fun Addicts, an excellent band from Seattle, entertained the assembled crowd throughout the afternoon with many of the seniors up on the floor dancing the afternoon away.

The picnic was well organized, with scores of young volunteers making sure that everyone was served quickly and efficiently. All in all it was a very fun event, obviously enjoyed by the seniors, and I am already looking forward to next year’s event.
