A woman reported someone attempted to break open her kitchen window in the 1500 block of South Monroe Street. The woman further advised her neighbors were using marijuana. The woman was told that marijuana is legal in Washington and was advised to call the next time someone was trying to open her window.

A woman was caught stealing $346 worth of housewares and other items from Walmart. The suspect was booked into the Grant County Jail for second-degree burglary and third-degree theft.

A woman was spotted tearing pages out of a coloring book inside Hastings Entertainment Inc. The woman was identified by an officer from video surveillance and will be arrested for third-degree malicious mischief when she is contacted again.

A woman reported receiving threatening text messages from a man. The woman did not want police intervention and only wanted the incident documented.

A woman entered Rite Aid and stole about $23 worth of merchandise and fled the scene. The woman was later contacted by police and advised she was permanently trespassed from all Rite Aid stores.

Report of a spent brass bullet shell casing in the 200 block of West Broadway Avenue.

A man reportedly attempted to strike another man with several objects and while attempting to hit the victim with a phone cord, struck a 3-year-old boy in the eye. The boy received a laceration to his eyelid and the suspect was booked into the Grant County Jail for third-degree assault of a child and fourth-degree assault.

A woman reported an unknown subject rang her door bell in the 600 block of South Balsam Street and left the area. The woman could not give police a description of the subject or their direction of travel.

Police responded to the 9800 block of Olympic Drive Northeast for a report of a burglary in progress. Police did not find evidence of a burglary at the scene.
