Thomas E. Hutsell

November 30, 1945 – June 5, 2016

Thomas was born in Spokane, Wash., on Nov. 30, 1945 to William and Bernice Hutsell. He passed away on June 5, 2016. Tom graduated from Davenport High School in 1964. He played varsity basketball while attending Central Washington University and he served in the Army National Guard.

Tom grew up in and around the livestock auction business. He became an auctioneer and went on to place third in the world competition in 1976. Tom was an original member of the Flying Five Rodeo Company along with his brother Don Hutsell, Sonny Riley, Forrest Riley and Vince Aguirre. He was also a partner in the Far West Rodeo Company. He loved a good pick up horse and a great bucking horse. Watching football was a passion for him. He enjoyed dancing, family holiday dinners and playing pinochle.

Tom was preceded in death by his father Bill. He is survived by his mother, Bernice Brown, children Melissa Hutsell and Christopher Hutsell; grandchildren Kirsten and Krista Hutsell; one brother, Don Hutsell; two sisters, Sharyn and Charlett Hutsell; one niece Dawnel Hutsell and a nephew Chad Hutsell and many cousins.
