Christensen maintains lead

ROYAL CITY — Shawn Vetterick outplayed Pete Christensen, 41-46 gross and 34-39 net, but Christensen was able to maintain his player point lead to remain atop the standings after week eight of the Thursday Night Men’s League at the Royal Golf Course.

That makes it four weeks in a row, and five overall for Christensen at the top of the PP standings. Christensen led 56.00-55.00 after eight weeks. The 1-point difference was the same after week 7.

The first five places in week 8 remained the same as week 7. With the season nearing its close, Josh Scroggins is in third place with 50.50 points. Bob Murphy was in fourth with 50.00.

In fifth place was Royal Golf Association President Pat Dorsing, the best player (gross) in the league, with 48.00. He shot even-par 35 (gross) in week 8. The leading net score of 30 was posted by Josh Scroggins.
