NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF MITIGATED DETERMINATION OF NON-SIGNIFICANCE

| June 8, 2016 1:00 PM

Grant County Public Works is removing the existing Stratford Rd. NE Crab Creek crossing, realigning Stratford Rd., and constructing a new crossing further downstream.

Grant County has issued a Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance (MDNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act Rules (WAC Chapter 197-11) for the following project: Grant County Public Works is removing the existing Stratford Rd. NE Crab Creek crossing, realigning Stratford Rd., and constructing a new crossing further downstream. A new crossing is needed to accommodate the increased water flow rate that will result from the United States Bureau of Reclamation's Supplemental Feed Route project. The existing crossing cannot handle the proposed water flows and would result in water over the roadway. All necessary work will be performed when the creek bed is dry. Once the new crossing is constructed the old crossing will be removed and contoured to match the existing streambed. The project site is where Stratford Rd. NE crosses Crab Creek at the town site of Stratford. Located in a portion of the S _ of Section 3, Township 22 N, Range 28 E, and a portion of the North _ of Section 10, Township 22 N, Range 28 E, W.M., Grant County, WA. Parcel # 17-1236-000.

After a review of a completed Environmental Checklist and other information on file with the Planning Department, Grant County has determined that this proposal does not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment as conditioned.

Copies of the MDNS (File #15-6061) are available at no charge from the Grant County Planning Department, 264 West Division Avenue, PO Box 37, Ephrata, WA 98823, (509)754-2011, ext. 2501. Front Office hours: 8 am-12 noon, 1-4 pm, M-F. The public is invited to comment on this MDNS by submitting written comments to Tyler Lawrence at the above address no later than 5 pm on June 22, 2016.
