Man ticketed for DUI after car collision

MOSES LAKE — A Moses Lake man was allegedly intoxicated when he rear-ended another vehicle twice in Moses Lake on Monday. A passenger in the vehicle that was rear-ended was injured in the collision.

About 7:40 p.m. on Monday Robert McGuire, 42, of Moses Lake, was driving a 2002 Ford F-150 pickup truck south on state Route 17, near Patton Boulevard, and reportedly rear-ended a 2003 Honda Pilot twice. The Pilot’s driver, J.N. Walle, 74, of Moses Lake, pulled over to the right shoulder and McGuire pulled over behind him, blocking the right lane, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Walle’s passenger, Maria Walle, 65, of Moses Lake, was injured and transported to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake by ambulance. McGuire and J.N. Walle were not injured.

McGuire was cited for DUI, according to the patrol.
