MOSES LAKE — The one thing everyone can agree on is a more affordable product will appeal to the masses. The Moses Lake Roundup Association and Grant County Fair came up with something they hope will not only put a smile on people’s faces, but bring more people through the gates to the summer fair and rodeo.
They’re calling it the combo ticket. It’s a simple concept, a ticket to the Moses Lake Roundup will include same day admission to the Grant County Fair.
“The goal was to make it more affordable for everyone,” interim Grant County Fairgrounds director Brenda Adame said. “We have an immense amount of traffic. I think we had close to 60,000 people last year. A family of four might only be able to go to one or the other, this way they can enjoy both.”
Moses Lake Roundup president Stan Cafferty likes the idea.
“We talked about a multi-day pass in the past, but what we came up with was a single-day ticket right now,” he said. “The nice thing about it is that it gives our customers the opportunity to go over to the fair if they want to come out a little bit early. We’re looking at selling extra tickets, that’s what we hope to gain by it. But we’re also looking to make it affordable for families to come out and enjoy themselves.”
