1 dead, at least 2 others injured in collision outside Royal City

ROYAL CITY — One person died and at least two others were injured in a head-on collision outside of Royal City on Wednesday afternoon.

The collision reportedly occurred on Adams Road South, about one mile north of Frenchman Hills Road, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. An unidentified person died at the scene of the collision.

One of the two injured people was airlifted via Life Flight helicopter to a nearby hospital for treatment, while the other was transported via ambulance to a nearby hospital, stated sheriff’s office spokesman Kyle Foreman. Adams Road was closed for a number of hours on Wednesday as deputies at the scene conducted their investigation into the collision.

The names of the people involved in the accident were not released as of press time on Wednesday.
