National Night Out returning to Moses Lake, Quincy

MOSES LAKE AND QUINCY — National Night Out will be returning to Moses Lake and Quincy in early August.

National Night Out is a nationwide event, with more than 36 million people in 16,000 communities across the United States participating. Scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 1, Quincy’s sixth annual National Night Out will be held at the Reiman-Simmons Historical Park, 415 F St. SW, and will be featuring food, fun and prizes.

Moses Lake’s sixth annual National Night Out is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. Aug. 2 in Sinkiuse Square. On tap for the event is live music by the band “17 by 90,” free food, free ice cream for children ages 12 and under, a Boys and Girls Club bouncy house, free face-painting sponsored by the Moses Lake Police Department, free fingerprinting for kids by the MLPD and free bicycle registration by the MLPD. In addition, there will be a drawing at 8 p.m. for four kids bikes, a chance to meet the MLPD’s new Chief Kevin Fuhr and free information and kids’ activities from local organizations.

The Moses Lake Police Department invites people to attend and “send a message that the citizens of Moses Lake are concerned about crime prevention,” stated the MLPD.
