| July 13, 2016 1:00 PM

January 29, 1940 – July 10, 2016

Minerva was born in Crystal City, Texas on Jan. 29, 1940. She was raised by Jose Dolores and Flora Montemayor Meza.

Her early childhood years were spent in “El Rancho” with her grandmother Sophia, many aunts, uncles and cousins. In the 1960s she and family moved to Watsonville, Calif. and resided there until 1977. She then moved to Moses Lake, Wash. along with her parents and children. This remained her home. Her favorite pastimes were many. She enjoyed dancing, singing, listening to music, reading, sewing, embroidery, knitting, cooking, barbecues, eating out, and playing card games with her grandchildren. Above all, her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family. This was her true happiness.

She leaves behind her five children Tony, Beto (Gilbert), Ana, Greg Chris (Speedy) and Andy; four daughters-in-law Melissa, Janet, Theresa and Heather; her wonderful grandchildren Marissa (Misa), Christopher (Pokey), Krystal, Jaimie, Misti, Angela (Dundee), Cierra, Brittney, Alexandra (Chubba), Serena (Babylou), Draven, J.D., Isaiah, Jennifer, Melissa, Alex, Anthony, Aneissa, Bella, Tommy, Cheyenne and Madison; and two great grandchildren Lilyana and Troy. She is also survived by two sisters, Hortencia (Tencha) of California and Simona Sylvia of Wisconsin and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents Jose and Flora and siblings Olga, Yolanda and Mario.

Minerva touched many lives and will be remembered for the wonderful, caring, kind, lady she was and for her cheerful smile and laugh. She very seldom spent on herself but enjoyed helping out her family whenever she could. Her love was beautiful, powerful and strong, a love that was accepting without conditions or limitations or prejudices. She will be forever missed.

Viewing will be on July 13, 2016 from 9 to 10:30 am at Kaysers Chapel of Memories, followed by a graveside service at 11am at Pioneer Memorial Gardens in Moses Lake as per her wishes.

We little knew that morning,

God would call your name.

In life we loved you dearly,

In death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you,

You did not go alone,

For part of us went with you

The day God called you home.

You left us beautiful memories,

Your love is still our guide,

And though we cannot see you,

You are always at our side.

We love you, Mom.
