Report of dirt bike stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Northeast Hansen Road. Bike was later recovered when suspect was found pushing it along the railroad tracks behind businesses on East Broadway Avenue. A 25-year-old man was arrested for theft of a motor vehicle, possession of controlled substances, second-degree vehicle prowl and third-degree malicious mischief.

Report of a burglary at a business at 1317 East Wheeler Rd. Unknown suspect broke into the fenced area and stole undisclosed items.

Report of a bicycle stolen from a residence in the 3400 block of West Sage Road. Bike was described as a red mountain bike, estimated value $200.

Report of attempted phone fraud. Reporting party received a call from a woman claiming to be a relative in need of bail money.

Report of attempted telephone fraud. Reporting party received a call claiming to be from the Internal Revenue Service, saying she owed taxes and would be arrested if they weren’t paid. She called police instead.

Reporting party said she loaned her vehicle to a family member, who in turn may have loaned it to another subject. She wanted to report it stolen, but officers told her it was in police department impound as part of an investigation.

Report of a three-vehicle, non-injury accident in the 1300 block of West Broadway Avenue. Vehicle 3 ran out of gas and stopped in the road, with vehicle 2 behind. Driver of vehicle 1 ran into the back of vehicle 2, which hit vehicle 3. Driver of vehicle 1 was cited for following too close.

Report of burglary at a residence in the 300 block of North Mattson Avenue. Unknown suspects entered the house and allegedly took a video game player and games, a phone, kitchen appliances and clothing.

A juvenile, no age given, was cited for third-degree malicious mischief after allegedly shooting out a streetlight in the Japanese Peace Garden.

A 30-year-old man was cited for violating the city’s noise ordinance.

A male subject was reported walking a dirt bike and apparently trying to hide.

A domestic incident was reported in which the reporting party said she could hear a saw and a female yelling.

A man reported change and keys stolen from one vehicle and an insurance card stolen from another.

A woman reported that a male subject against whom she had a restraining order was at her house.

A female caller reported a bicycle stolen.

A man reported that someone had broken into his residence.

A woman reported that her ex-husband, against whom she has a restraining order, was harassing and stalking her through Facebook.

A burned-up vehicle that appeared to have been a Dodge pickup was reported.

A woman reported that her grandson stole money out of her bank account.

A fraudulent call purporting to be from the IRS was reported.

A woman reported that her son, against whom she had a restraining order, was at her residence.

A male subject was reported driving with a child on his lap.

A woman reported that her ex pointed a gun at her.

Vehicles were reported racing on the roadway.

A woman reported that her husband grabbed her face and threw her on the ground after an argument.

A burglary in progress was reported.

A woman reported that her boyfriend, who had been drinking and was on medication, hit her in the head.

A male was reported screaming racial slurs on his front porch.

July 10

Rachel Simpson, 44, Richland, was booked into the Grant County Jail for first-degree criminal trespassing and obstructing law enforcement.

Jesus Zavala, 48, Othello, was booked for possession of methamphetamine, use of drug paraphernalia and third-degree driving with a suspended license, and for outstanding Adams County warrants for third-degree possession of stolen property, forgery and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Anthony Lucio, 30, Ephrata was booked for two counts of third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Francisco Nunez, 27, Quincy, was booked on five counts of first-degree robbery.

Melissa Morfin, 25, Warden, was booked for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).
