July 5

Report of theft in the 1900 block of West Marina Drive. Reporting party said a bicycle was stolen from her garage. The bike is described as a black Raleigh bike with a black basket attached to the front.

Report of vandalism at West Broadway Avenue and South Gibby Road. Horns and a mustache were drawn on a campaign sign. Sign’s value was estimated at $250.

Reporting party said he had been trading his EBT card for marijuana, but that this time the woman who had been trading with him didn’t return it. The reporting party said he was unaware he was breaking the law, because the use and possession of some amounts of marijuana is legal. Reporting party said he would not trade the card for merchandise in the future.

Report of graffiti on a business at 305 East Third Avenue.

Report of attempted telephone fraud. Reporting party was told she would receive a $400 million prize for sending $9,000. Reporting party hung up and called police.

Report of burglary in the 900 block of South Juniper Drive. Victim said he came home to find his dog in the yard, and encountered a suspect in his backyard taking food from the victim’s house. The victim confronted the suspect and the suspect fled on foot. A 29-year-old man was arrested for burglary.

Report of attempted computer fraud at the Grant County Health District office, 1038 West Ivy Ave. Malware virus locked out the user and demanded monetary payment to allow access. The case is under investigation.

Report of vehicle prowl in the 2400 block of West Peninsula Drive. Reporting party said someone had gone through her vehicle overnight.

Report of possible card fraud. Reporting party said her EBT card may have been stolen and used at a local business within the last 24 hours.

Report of vehicle prowl in the 500 block of South Laguna Drive. Reporting party said thieves entered her vehicle overnight and stole DVD players and DVDs, and tablet. Estimated value was about $500.

Report of stolen nose ring from a business at 1100 East Nelson Rd. Estimated value $10.

Report of vandalism in the 1000 block of West Marina Drive. Reporting party said unknown suspects threw a rock through the window of his car sometime during the day.

Report of check fraud. Reporting party said they sent a $47 refund check to a customer, but the check was altered to $800 and the name of the payee was changed. It was deposited to the fraudulent payee’s account.

Two car, non-injury accident at North Stratford and West Mart roads. Driver of vehicle 2 attempted to turn left onto Mart Road and was hit by vehicle 1. Driver of vehicle 1 was cited for failing to yield.

July 6

Report of vandalism at a business at 789 North Central Dr. Suspect broke the door with a rock and ran away.

Report of car prowl interrupted in progress in the 300 block of North Grape Drive. Suspect was caught by the victim while he was stealing items from the victim’s vehicle. Suspect fled on foot. An 18 year-old man was later located and arrested for second-degree vehicle prowl and third-degree theft.

A pump house door was reportedly kicked in and everything in it taken out, including water meter setters, tools and meters.

Give or more hypodermic needles were reportedly found with their tips exposed.

A woman reported that her dog was mauled by another dog, which then attacked her.

A subject was reportedly using marijuana on the back deck of a restaurant.

Three African geese were reported stolen.

A towing company reported a female taking drug paraphernalia out of an impounded vehicle.

A business reported receiving counterfeit bills.

A woman reported her wallet was lost while she was watching fireworks.

A food stamp card was reported stolen.

A herd of about 30 horses was reported loose alongside the freeway.

An iPhone was reported stolen.

A man reported that a renter had left a loaded firearm in a rental.

A sound system was reported stolen.

A goat was reported running at large, chasing kids and ramming the front door of a residence.

A woman reported illegal dumping on her property.

A man reported that a subject was shooting a pellet gun towards his residence.

A woman reported her dog had been stolen.

A man reported being harassed by subjects who told him a group of people would be coming to see him soon.

A man reported seeing subjects drinking beer in cars.


Grant County Jail

July 5

Fordenn Palmanteer, 63, Loon Lake, was booked into the Grant County Jail on outstanding Grant County District Court warrants for harassment, operating a vehicle without ignition interlock and second-degree driving with a suspended license.

Mercedes Garcia, 37, Spokane, was booked on a GCDC five-day commitment for DUI.

Jeffrey Willis, 43, Moses Lake, was booked on an outstanding GCDC warrant for DUI.

Carlos Romero, 19, Moses Lake, was booked on an outstanding GCDC warrant for second-degree driving with a suspended license.

Elkana Mulamba, 29, Moses Lake, was booked for residential burglary.

Norman Moore, 52, Moses Lake, was booked on an outstanding Grant County Superior Court warrant for failing to appear at a review hearing.

Carlos Silva, 19, Moses Lake, was booked on an outstanding GCSC warrant for second-degree burglary, an outstanding GCDC warrant for obstruction of law enforcement and a Benton County warrant for second-degree trafficking in stolen property.
