Moses Lake Police Department
Jan. 27
- A man reported his $400 mountain bike was stolen while in front of a business in the 1000 block of North Stratford Road.
- A man reported his car was hit with what appeared to be a "bird shot" in the 300 block of West Sixth Avenue. The driver's side window of the vehicle was reportedly shattered and two pellets hit the door. The reporting party advised he saw a vintage beige Oldsmobile or Buick around midnight at Beech Street and Sixth Avenue when he heard what sounded like a bottle being smashed. The victim said the suspect vehicle left eastbound on Sixth Avenue and returned a few minutes later and stopped by his car.
- Report of a burglary at a church in the 2200 block of West Peninsula Drive. Missing items include a computer monitor, a music keyboard and two floor lights. A mask and pair of pliers were reportedly found at the scene.
- A woman reportedly stole some industrial sized hand soap and toilet paper rolls from the storage room of a tavern in the 800 block of West Third Avenue on Monday. The woman is going to be permanently trespassed from the tavern when she is next contacted.
- Report of numerous vehicles prowled at a car dealership in the 3800 block of East Broadway Avenue.
- A woman reported an unknown man broke out her car window in the Safeway parking lot and fled the scene in a silver Honda Civic.
- Famous Footwear advised two unknown men attempted to conceal a pair of shoes in their store. When confronted the subjects reportedly returned the shoes and left the store.
- A stolen vehicle was reportedly observed driving south on Stratford Road and pulled over by police. The female driver was released as she had proof of sale of the vehicle.
- A woman was caught attempting to steal $170 worth of merchandise from Walmart.
- An unidentified man reportedly stole a bottle of vodka from Safeway and fled the scene. Police could not locate the suspect.
Ephrata Police Department
Jan. 27
- Police were dispatched to Yakima Street for a domestic violence assault. A person was booked into jail for fourth-degree assault.
- Police responded to the Ephrata Senior Center for a report of a subject trespassing. A person was trespassed from the property for two years.
- Report of a possibly intoxicated driver going 15 mph under the speed limit in the area of state Route 282.

- A man advised deputies of some mailboxes that had been broken into.
- A man reported his bicycle was stolen overnight.
- A woman reported a woman is sending threatening messages to her and her family.
- A man reported some hunters were shooting geese over his fence line.
- A man told deputies his ex-partner put her hands on him and smacked his face a couple of times.
- A woman advised her neighbor's were fighting, kicking doors and yelling.
- An employee at a gas station in the 1200 block of Pioneer Way said two subjects came into the store, pointed a gun at her and ran out.
