June 29, 1936 – January 14, 2016

Rolando (Palillo) Acevedo, 79, a resident of Warden, for over 50 years, passed away Thursday Jan. 14, 2016 at Lake Ridge in Moses Lake.

Rolando was born June 29, 1936 in Eagle Pass, Texas son of Benjamin and Berta Acevedo and was married to Linda Acevedo for 55 years.

Survivors include his children Sandra (Oscar) Armendariz, Viola (Ramiro) Garza, Linda Acevedo (Tim Morris), Rolando (Carmen) Acevedo, Danny (Sherri) Acevedo, Phillip (Michelle) Garcia and Steve Garcia. He also leaves 25 grandkids and 25 great-grandkids.

He moved from Mabton to Warden where he made a home for his family. He worked for Skone and Conners in Warden for over 40 years. He loved what he did and helped three generations with this company.

Rolando loved fishing, woodworking and barbecuing. He loved to work with his hands. He loved to help anyone who needed help. He enjoyed gardening with his wife Linda, and also loved to watch his grandchildren play sports.

His name and his legacy will go on through his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A service is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Warden, Wash.
