The Board has determined the equipment listed below is not currently necessary or needed for the use of the district; and authorized the sale of that personal property item pursuant to RCW 87.03.135.

The Board has determined the equipment listed below is not currently necessary or needed for the use of the district; and authorized the sale of that personal property item pursuant to RCW 87.03.135.

The Board has directed that notice of the sale shall be given by publication at least twenty days before the date of the sale or lease in a newspaper of general circulation in the county where the property or part of the property is located; that said publication shall be made at least once a week during three consecutive weeks before the day fixed for making the sale; that the publication shall contain notice of the intention of the board of directors to make the sale and shall state the time and place at which proposals for the sale will be considered and at which the sale will be made.

The MLIRD staff has investigated the fair market value of the equipment being excessed and has advised the Board of Directors that the estimated fair market value of the excess property is approximately as follows:

2006 CAT CS-423E Soil Compactor 14,800lb, 83HP, Soil Compactor w/blade and 608 operating hours: Minimum bid price is $40,000

MLIRD makes no warranty or representations regarding this equipment.

THE MLIRD Board of Directors reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any reason, including but not limited to a determination that the bids received are less than the estimated fair market value of the item or that the bidders are not qualified, and then to list the property for sale by other means.

The MLIRD Board of Directors has directed that the published notice of the sale of this equipment include the statement that the Board of Directors is interested in and will consider offers to trade for equipment that is needed by the district, specifically, an 1150H Bulldozer or equivalent or better in good condition. The Board of Directors is informed by staff that the fair market value of that piece of equipment is believed to be equal to or more than the fair market value of the 2006 CAT CS-423E Soil Compactor. As to trade in offers, the Board reserves the right to inspect any equipment offered as trade in and negotiate and to consider all material and advantageous terms and conditions regarding the traded equipment.

All bids must be sealed in an inside envelope that indicates the equipment being bid on. The bids shall include a cashier's check in the amount of the bid. The inside enveloped must then be sealed in an outside envelope and delivered to the District office at 932 E Wheeler Rd, Moses Lake, WA 98837 by 9:00 AM, PST Friday - February 5, 2016.
