Moses Lake Police Department

Jan. 15

  • Report of five units at a mini-storage business burglarized sometime overnight in the 5900 block of Turnkey Road.
  • A woman advised of an erratic driver who was honking her horn at her and yelling at her. The caller said when she stopped at Maple Drive and Apple Road the other driver grabbed at her through her driver’s side window. A physical altercation reportedly ensued and the reporting party eventually got into her vehicle and drove away.
  • A woman told police a man and woman in a vehicle followed her daughter to the area of Linden Avenue and Leanne Avenue. The woman said no contact was made between her daughter and the two suspects.
  • A man was cited and released for third-degree theft after reportedly attempting to steal two phone charging cords from Walmart.
  • A man advised his ex-partner and her boyfriend have been harassing him at a tattoo shop in the 1000 block of West Marina Drive. He said they stopped on Marina Drive in front of the shop, yelled at him and took pictures of him and customers. The man was advised to obtain a court order.
  • A man and woman were cited and released for third-degree theft after reportedly altering price tags on merchandise at Walmart.
  • A woman told police a “young lady” who is living with her withdrew $1,500 from her bank account.
  • Report of a man and woman pushing, yelling and throwing things in front of an apartment in the 1000 block of West Third Avenue. The male suspect left before police arrival and the female suspect was reportedly not cooperative with police.

 

Jan. 16

  • A suspect on a bicycle reportedly broke a window valued at $80 at a business in the 2100 block of West Broadway Avenue. Nothing is believed to have been stolen from the business.
  • A intoxicated man was reportedly found lying on the ground next to his vehicle in the area of East Fifth Avenue and East Penn Street. The man was given a ride home.
  • A boy was arrested for fourth-degree assault after reportedly pushing his mother into a book shelf after she took away his iPad, cellphone and debit card.
  • A boy reportedly broke the rear view mirror on a person’s car and broke the victim’s cellphone. The victim did not want to press charges, but the boy reportedly had several juvenile felony warrants and was found to be in possession of a firearm.
  • Report of some marijuana found at the Safeway gas station. The marijuana was destroyed by police.
  • A man told police he showed up at a residence in the 1700 block of West Lee Street to clean up because the former tenant had moved out. The man reportedly found a dog tied to the back porch of the house. The dog was transported to the animal shelter.
  • Report of a domestic dispute in the 800 block of East Hill Avenue. The dispute was determined to be verbal and the two suspects agreed to separate for the remainder of the day.

 

Jan. 17

  • Report of a physical domestic incident in the 1600 block of West Pheasant Street. A man was arrested after reportedly assaulting a woman and another woman who attempted to break up the fight.
  • Report of several subjects involved in a fight outside of a bar in the 200 block of West Broadway Avenue. Two of the suspects were located, but police could not identify a victim.
  • A man told police he was attacked in the area of West Knolls Vista Drive and West Ridge Road. Officers arrived at the scene and found the man was intoxicated, not injured. The man was given a courtesy ride home.
  • Report of a burglary alarm at the library. The building was found to be secure.
  • A woman reportedly attempted to use a fraudulent $20 bill at a business in the 1000 block of West Broadway Avenue. The woman told police she did not know where she got the bill from. Police reportedly discovered two more fraudulent bills mixed in with her other cash.
  • A man reported a boy stole $70 from his wallet. The victim did not want to press charges and the boy told police he was sorry for taking the money.
  • Police contacted a homeless man who was reportedly “squatting” in a business in the 200 block of West Third Avenue. The man left the scene cooperatively.
  • A woman was permanently trespassed from all Walmart stores after concealing $26 worth of merchandise in her purse at Walmart.
  • A man reported numerous items were stolen during a burglary at his residence in the 600 block of South Lake Avenue. Police reportedly found a screwdriver and zip-lock baggie containing marijuana at the scene and logged the items as evidence.

Ephrata Police Department

Jan. 15

  • Threats were reported in front of the courthouse. The reporting party just wanted the threats on record.
  • EPD responded to a report of a domestic violence assault in progress in the 200 block of J Street Northwest. EPD is attempting to locate the subject.

 

Jan. 16

  • An assault was reported in the 700 block of Basin Street Northwest.
  • A dog was running at large in the 300 block of Third Avenue Southwest. The dog was located, captured, and placed in pen 1.

 

Jan. 17

  • EPD received a report of a male subject attempting to push a cart full of merchandise out of a store. The sensors went off and he left the cart.
  • A female reportedly saw a subject putting carpet in her dumpster in the 1600 block of Basin Street Southwest.
  • Cody A. Hettling, 18, Ephrata was arrested on an administrative warrant.
  • Heriberto Arevalo, 34, Union Gap, was arrested for DUI.

Jan. 15

  • Michael Blunt, 44, of Warden, was booked on a Grant County District Court warrant.
  • Mersaedy Vasquez, 31, of Beverly, was booked on a GCDC warrant.
  • Antonio Cruz, 40, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on a GCDC warrant.
  • Eddie Aleck Jr., 57, of Toppenish, was booked on a Department of Corrections order for arrest and detention.
  • Jordan Tebow, 32, of Moses Lake, was booked on a DOC secretary’s warrant.
  • Aaron Standard, 27, of Moses Lake, was booked on a GCDC warrant and a Benton County warrant.
  • Marcos Haro, 28, of Quincy, was arrested and booked on a GCDC warrant.
  • Alfredo Gomez, 54, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on a GCDC warrant.
  • Nicholas Villarreal, 23, of Moses Lake, was booked on a GCDC warrant.
  • Antonio Santiago Jr., 35, of Moses Lake, was booked on a Chelan County warrant.
  • Glen Prater, 33, of Moses Lake, was booked for felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a dangerous weapon and reckless endangerment.

 

Jan. 16

  • John Lienhard, 54, of Soap Lake, was booked on a GCDC warrant.
  • Amelia Houdsen, 25, of Moses Lake, was booked for DUI.
  • Veronica Ramirez, 28, of Moses Lake, was arrested for violating a protection order.
  • Rafael Ochoa Jr., 18, of Moses Lake, was booked for second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm and two Grant County Superior Court warrants.
  • Heriberto Arevalo, 34, of Union Gap, was booked for second-degree assault, interfering with reporting of domestic violence and DUI.

 

Jan. 17

  • Joshua Bechtel, 40, of Ephrata, was booked on a GCDC warrant.
  • Armando Valencia, 35, of Moses Lake, was booked for fourth-degree assault.
