Moses Lake Police Department
Jan. 12
- A woman reported receiving a phone call from a number that appeared to belong to her friend. Upon answering, the caller was found to be an automated system telling the reporting party she had won a vacation package. No call back number was obtained. The woman was advised to contact her cellphone company.
- Report of items stolen out of an unlocked vehicle in the 800 block of West Loop Drive.
- A woman told police her 3-year-old returned from visitation with his father and had a bag containing dirty laundry. The woman told police she found a twisted piece of plastic tube in the bag, which she believed is used to do drugs. There was no evidence to support the woman's claim.
- An unknown suspect reportedly entered a business in the 1200 block of South Pioneer Way and set off the store's security alarm as he was leaving. The business manager chased the suspect but lost sight of him. A man who was with the suspect said he did not know the suspect, but ended up getting trespassed from the business.
- Report of between three and four people attempting to prowl some construction equipment at Blue Heron Park.
- A man reportedly ran out of Rite Aid after the door alarms to the store went off. Police were unable to locate the suspect.
- A woman reported a man she is living with took her backpack containing her ID and debit card. The woman requested the items be returned, but said she didn't want to be a victim. The suspect reportedly returned and assaulted the woman. The suspect was arrested and booked into jail.
- A man was reportedly caught stealing two clothing items valued at $33 from Walmart.
- A business told police they received a phone call from a person claiming to represent the PUD. The caller told the business they needed to pay their bill. The business advised their PUD account is up to date and no information was provided. Police called the number and were disconnected when asked for a company name.

- A woman reported she hit a dog on state Route 28 near Desert Aire.
- A man told police a subject attempted to run him over with a vehicle.
- A woman reported her truck trailer and three snowmobiles were stolen.
- A woman told police she received a fraudulent phone call. She was told her grandson was in jail and she needed to provide bail money.
- A man reported a man was walking on a canal bank and shooting a gun onto his property.
- Report of dogs chasing people on Valley Road.
- A woman told deputies a person pointed a gun at her son on Sunday while he was at his father's house.
- A woman reported witnessing a subject, who was previously trespassed from her property, drive out of her driveway.
- A woman told police she might have some stolen property in her shed.
Ephrata Police Department
Jan. 12
- A man reported a vehicle was following him. The vehicle was located and the driver advised he was trying to get the reporting party's attention.
- Report of a past burglary in the 400 block of Fifth Avenue Southeast.
- Report of some damage done to a vehicle by a shopping cart in the Walmart parking lot.
- Police contacted a disabled vehicle on Third Avenue. The driver advised he had a dead battery. The driver was assisted in pushing the vehicle out of the road.
