Moses Lake Police Department
Jan. 6
- Officers contacted a suspicious man in the area of the West Fifth Avenue and South Beech Street who reportedly took off running. The suspect was located and reportedly took off running again after he was advised he was going to be detained. The suspect was eventually arrested and booked for obstructing and a Department of Corrections warrant.
- A woman told police her neighbor was calling her names, but said she was ignoring the name-calling. The woman was advised to continue ignoring the name-calling.
- A woman called police to ask if she was under investigation for theft of a firearm. The woman was advised she was not under investigation.
- A man was contacted in a parking lot in the 1200 block of South Pioneer Way after a compliant of a possible drug deal. Police reportedly found heroin on the man and he was taken into custody for the drugs and a misdemeanor warrant.
- A man was reportedly spotted scanning an item at Walmart and not scanning a second item. The man allegedly left the store without paying for the second item and was contacted by police at his vehicle.
- Report of a suspicious person allegedly talking to passing children who had just been released from school in the area of South Clover Drive and East Hill Drive. The man told police he was just walking and had said "hi" to a passing child. The man advised he would not talk to any more children and would leave the area.
- Report of a woman attempting to leave Walmart without paying for a pair of boots, hot cocoa and bread. The woman was cited and released for third-degree theft and was trespassed from the property.
- A man reported receiving a phone call from a person claiming to represent the IRS. The man said he hung up on the caller before giving them any information.
- A man told police his neighbor in the 1000 block of South Eastlake Drive approached him and claimed he was too loud and shoved him. The man said his neighbor hit him with her cane. The man did not want to press charges and just wanted the incident documented.

- A man reported some fraudulent charges were made on his debit card.
- A man reported seeing a suspicious truck pull up to an irrigation pump and park in between two haystacks.
- A woman advised police of a suspicious man walking up and down an alley carrying a table leg and knocking on doors.
- A woman reported her cellphone was stolen out of her purse.
- A woman advised her brother's truck was stolen.
- A man reported the license plates on his vehicle were stolen.
- A woman told deputies her grandson did not return home from school.
- A woman told deputies her boyfriend started yelling and screaming at her and stole her phone, money and cigarettes. She said he told her if she called the police he would make her life harder.
Ephrata Police Department

- A woman reported receiving two fraudulent phone calls from a person claiming to be with the government.
- Report of items stolen from a vehicle in the 00 block of E Street Northwest sometime over the last two days.
- Report of a past theft of a firearm in the 200 block of C Street Southwest.
- Police performed a welfare check on a subject in the 200 block of Basin Street. The subject was reportedly located at a bus stop out of the road.

- Brian Massey, 27, was arrested and booked for obstructing a law enforcement officer and on a Department of Corrections arrest order.
- Tammy Pike, 47, was arrested on two Grant County Superior Court warrants.
- Cody Cole, 29, of Warden, was arrested and booked for possession of heroin and on a GCSC warrant.
- Jason Paulk, 34, was arrested on a Kittitas County Superior Court warrant.
- Angel Ramirez, 22, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on a DOC warrant.
- Jaime Rendon-Torres, 38, of Warden, was arrested and booked on a Grant County District Court warrant and for third-degree driving with a suspended license.
- Miguel Berry, 28, of Richland, was arrested and booked for DUI.
- Alissa Gonzales-Haven, 33, of Moses Lake, was booked on three GCDC warrants.
- Vanessa Ochoa, 27, of Moses Lake, was booked on a GCDC warrant.
