Liebrecht should be mayor

The Moses Lake City Council passed Resolution 3584 that states that the Mayor of Moses Lake shall be selected at the first meeting in January, and that the person shall be chosen according to seniority unless he or she declines. This is such a sensible way to select our mayor. Karen Liebrecht has the most seniority and will provide the leadership and maturity needed to being the council together to work for the common good of our community. That she will be our first woman mayor is a tribute to our town and an important milestone.
