MOSES LAKE — Heavy snowfall Sunday evening prompted the closure of the Moses Lake School District and other area schools for the day Monday, while some districts in the area operated on a two-hour delay.

The Moses Lake Christian Academy and the Wilson Creek School District also closed for the day Monday.

The following school districts returned to action Monday after winter break, but operated on two-hour delays: Almira/Coulee-Hartline, Ephrata, Othello, Royal, Soap Lake, Warden, Wahluke, and St. Rose of Lima Catholic School in Ephrata.

The Quincy School District operated on its regular Monday schedule, with no special delays for the snowy circumstances. Quincy schools have a delayed 9:30 a.m. start every Monday and district personnel determined no further delay was needed due to the snow.
