  • A woman reported her cellphone was stolen from her work on West Pheasant Street.
  • A woman reported finding trace amounts of a green vegetable matter on a child's jacket. The substance did not test positive for marijuana.
  • A man was arrested after allegedly stealing two beers and a sandwich from Safeway.
  • A woman told police she never received a package that was delivered to her residence in the 600 block of North Crestview Drive on Dec. 21.
  • Report of a newspaper stand stolen in the 3800 block of East Broadway Avenue.
  • Two juveniles were caught attempting to steal $42 worth of socks from a business in the 1200 block of South Pioneer Way. Charges were not filed and the juveniles were released to their parents.
  • A man reported meeting a man who was trying to sell his wife's stolen cellphone. The reporting party said he got the phone back, but advised his wife did not want to pursue charges.
  • A man contacted police to report his residence in the 800 block of North Vista Drive was burglarized. No signs of forced entry was discovered at the house and nothing was found to be missing.
  • Report of two women stealing an unknown number of bottles of alcohol from Rite Aid. An employee attempted to contact the subjects, but they left the area in an older model white sedan.
  • A woman requested extra patrols in her neighborhood after she reportedly saw someone looking through her sliding glass door in the 200 block of East Ninth Avenue.

  • Report of a tractor trailer blocking the northbound Adams Road lanes.
  • A man reported some dogs killed four goats in his pasture.
  • A man advised police his neighbors are out of town and the gate to their residence is wide open.
  • A man reported some people were hunting behind his residence and shooting toward some houses.
  • A man reported seeing a person come from the side of his neighbor's residence and leave the area in a black car.
  • A woman reported hearing what she said sounded like gunshots.
  • Report of a possibly intoxicated driver swerving and driving at a slow speed on a road.
  • A person contacted police stating their intoxicated neighbor attempted to smash a guitar on their vehicle.

Dec. 30

  • Report of a vehicle fire in the 100 block of Sage Road. The Ephrata Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the fire.
  • Report of a past vehicle prowl in the 200 block of Park Place.
  • Report of a vehicle losing control on A Street and striking a fire hydrant.
