Each Wednesday at 7 p.m. at O’Sullivan club house the CWFAC is hosting bingo. Everyone is welcome. This is a fundraiser for the Habitat Project on Potholes Reservoir. This is a really fun night. In 2015 we paid out $27,000 to winning bingo players. Come and get your piece of the action.

With temperatures forecasted this week we will see 12 degrees above normal for the weekend of Feb. 12 and 13. One area that is of interest in this warm weather is a hike in the Seep Lakes, below O’Sullivan Dam. Just a simple hike to enjoy the Columbia National Wildlife Area. Now many waterfowl are beginning to move north for their spring migration. Many local geese are pairing up for their spring duty of nesting. Also, another wonderful area for hiking and fishing in desert wildlife are just west of Potholes State Park on “C” road.

Walleye fisherman are having improved success on Potholes. Medicare Beach has been probably one of the best areas to target. Many times last year and much more in 2016, one area on Potholes Reservoir that deserves walleye attention is the area between Potholes State Park to the Blythe Bay boat launch. Starting in 40 ft. of water and go from there. Goose Island on the east side has been fished heavily in 55 ft. of water and has been producing limits.
