MOSES LAKE — The Umpqua Bank Charitable Foundation awarded $5,000 in grants to the Boys and Girls Club of the Columbia Basin Tuesday afternoon at the club's new facility.

The donation will be focused toward programs and services that "enhance the development of our local youth," according to a release from the Umpqua Bank Charitable Foundation.

"Part of the Umpqua Bank Charitable Foundation's approach to giving is to invest in, and serve as a partner to community organizations," Nicole Stein, managing director of the Foundation, said via the release. "As a community bank, we believe we have an obligation to invest in youth and education programs that are essential to the long-term economic health and development of the communities we do business in."
