Feb. 9

  • A man reported receiving a fraudulent phone call from a person claiming to work for the IRS.
  • Report of two runaway juveniles on a bus heading toward Seattle in the 1800 block of East Kittleson Road. The bus was contacted and the juveniles were detained and released to their parents.
  • Report of an unidentified suspect stealing vacuum cleaners from Lowe's Home Improvement on two separate days.
  • A woman reported a man got out of a silver full-sized pickup truck and threatened her son with a pool stick. The suspect left the area as a passenger in the truck. The caller's son did not wish to speak with police and left prior to officer arrival.
  • A student at Midway Elementary School reportedly found a small vial containing a white powder substance on the school's playground. Police determined the substance in the vial was not drugs. The vial was disposed of.
  • Report of two bicycles left on a property in the 600 block of West Loop Drive. The bikes were logged into police property.
  • A woman told police her son ran away on Sunday, but had been attending school. The woman chose not to sign a runaway report, but decided to look for her son at Moses Lake High School on Monday. Two residences were checked for the boy and he was not found.
  • Police contacted a man who was loitering in front of a business in the 200 block of East Broadway Avenue waiting for a ride. The suspect left the area after he was contacted by an officer.
  • A woman reported her neighbor's dog dug under her fence in the 1100 block of South Ashley Way and got into a fight with her dog.
  • Report of a suspicious subject loitering around Frontier Middle School. The suspect was gone upon police arrival.

  • Amalia Ramirez, 41, of Royal City, was booked on a Grant County District Court warrant.

  • Darrell Smith Jr., 45, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on a Department of Corrections arrest order.
  • Joshua Avalos, 24, of Quincy, was booked for obstructing law enforcement and theft of a motor vehicle.
  • Jermaine Garland, 33, of Moses Lake, was booked on a Grant County Superior Court warrant.
  • TJ Hamilton, 31, of East Wenatchee, was booked on a GCDC warrant.
  • Stephen Vasquez, 27, of Moses Lake, was booked on a DOC order.
  • Joshua Brown, 24, of Moses Lake, was booked on a GCSC warrant.
  • Jessica Birdtail, 19, of Nespelem, was booked on a GCDC warrant.
  • Kristin Watt, 24, of Moses Lake, was booked on a GCSC warrant.
  • Jose Hernandez, 24, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on a GCDC warrant.
  • Lamina Mauricio, 31, of Moses Lake, was booked on a GCDC warrant.
