Feb. 4

  • A man was arrested for third-degree theft after stealing a bottle of alcohol from Safeway.
  • A 15-year-old boy was reportedly found to be intoxicated at Moses Lake High School. The boy was released to his family. School officials reportedly found a bottle of alcohol in the boy's backpack.
  • A woman was arrested for fourth-degree assault, third-degree malicious mischief, interfering with reporting of domestic violence and a misdemeanor warrant after getting into a physical altercation with a man in the 700 block of South Hawthorne Drive. The woman reportedly slapped the man and broke a $50 printer.
  • A man told police he gave his sister-in-law his debit card so he wouldn't spend money. The man said his sister-in-law made three fraudulent transactions with his debit card. The man did not know his sister-in-law's name and did not have any contact information for her.
  • A man requested extra patrols on West Columbia Avenue after someone attempted to break into his vehicle.
  • Report of possible drug activity in the area of Grape Drive and Luta Street. Police did not observe drug activity in the area.
  • A man reported hearing loud "bangs" in a building in the 100 block of East Broadway Avenue. Police checked the area and did not hear any "bangs."
  • A man was loaded into an ambulance after falling down some stairs at a hotel in the 400 block of South Melva Lane. The man said he wanted to make a police report. Police advised he would need to contact an attorney because the issue was civil, not criminal.

  • A man told deputies a vehicle cut him off and he drove into a ditch.
  • A man reported his dog was attacked by another dog.
  • A woman reported someone crashed into her garage door while she was at work.
  • A woman reported a boy from her daughter's school is sending her daughter and other girls from the school messages stating he knows where they live and wants to sleep with them.
  • A woman reported a dog was running at large in his neighborhood and attacking cats.
  • Report of some electrical lines on a road. Grant County PUD advised they were getting a crew to address the problem.
  • A woman reported someone stole her mailbox and various other items from her.
  • Quincy High School officials advised of a student posting on Facebook about ending their life.
  • A man reported someone broke into his vehicle overnight and stole his stereo.
