Moses Lake Police Department

Jan. 28

  • A woman contacted police stating she was concerned about lights being shined containing radiation. The woman brought in her research from the Internet and provided police a copy.
  • A man reported sometime overnight an unknown person forced open the door to his utility trailer causing $500 in damage in the 300 block of Hansen Road Northeast.
  • Report of several juveniles taking mail from mailboxes in the 2400 block of West Texas Street. The juveniles reportedly ripped the mail up and put it back in the mailbox or on the ground. The incident reportedly occurred several times within the last several months.
  • A woman told police she sold a person two puppies for $350 each, but the buyer only paid for one of the dogs. Both parties were advised the problem was a civil issue.
  • A man and woman were arrested in the area of South Barbara Avenue and West Basin Street for confirmed warrants. Methamphetamine was reportedly located on the man when he was searched.
  • Report of two boxes stolen from a residence in the 400 block of West Northshore Drive.
  • A student at Moses Lake High School was reportedly found to be in possession of marijuana and a smoking device. The student was taken into custody and later released to his mother.
  • Report of a marijuana pipe found in a yard in the area of East Deborah Street and South Blessing Street. The pipe was destroyed.
  • A woman reportedly hit a truck with her vehicle and fled the scene. The woman's vehicle reportedly left a large amount of fluid in the road and the fluid trail was followed to a residence in the 600 block of Alder Street, where the vehicle was parked. A witness reportedly identified the vehicle and the driver.
  • A woman was reportedly caught concealing about $40 worth of items at Walmart. The woman was trespassed from the store and released.
  • A woman was caught taking about $60 worth of items from Safeway. Charges are going to be filed for theft and the woman was permanently trespassed from Safeway.

Grant County Sheriff's Office

Jan. 28

  • A man reported an aggressive dog came over to his residence and attacked his dog.
  • A woman reported receiving some threatening text messages.
  • A man told deputies he saw a man stash a possibly stolen dirt bike in a shed.
  • Report of a man getting gored in the leg by a bull. The man was taken to Samaritan Hospital for treatment.
  • A man reported his neighbor's dog was chasing his horses.
  • A man reported two of his checks written for $450 each were stolen.
  • A woman reported a man started a fight with her husband and children.

Ephrata Police Department

Jan. 28

  • Report of loud music in the 1200 block of D Street Southwest. Police checked the area but did not hear the loud music.
  • Police responded to the 00 block of E Street Northeast for a man who was walking up and down the street yelling. The man was reportedly having an argument with his girlfriend and they both eventually left the scene in a vehicle.
  • Report of a malicious mischief in the 1400 block of C Street Southwest.
  • Report of a damaged vehicle parked in the 800 block of C Street Northwest.

Jan. 27

  • Travis Hope, 24, of Ephrata, was arrested and booked on a Department of Corrections order for arrest and detention.
  • Ronald Keeler Jr., 37, of Ephrata, was booked on two Grant County District Court warrants.
  • Jacob Jackson, 27, of Grand Coulee, was arrested on a DOC secretary’s warrant.
  • Mark Archer, 31, of Moses Lake, was arrested on a GCDC warrant.
  • Nathan Laughlin, 35, of Moses Lake, was booked on a GCDC warrant and a Douglas County warrant.

 

Jan. 28

  • Taylor Belgarde, 20, of Ritzville, was arrested on a DOC secretary’s warrant.
  • Raymond Salinas, 19, of Moses Lake, was arrested on a DOC order.
  • Tiffany Angel, 25, of Wenatchee, was arrested on a GCDC warrant.
  • Rusty Shumaker, 35, of Moses Lake, was arrested on GCDC warrants.
  • Dawn Smith, 19, of Moses Lake, was booked on a DOC secretary’s warrant.
  • Minerva Valle, 36, of Moses Lake, was arrested on a GCDC warrant.
  • James Meier, 26, of Spokane, was booked on a DOC secretary’s warrant.
  • Randy Deleon, 47, of Moses Lake, was arrested on a Grant County Superior Court warrant.
  • James Milner, 28, of Moses Lake, was booked on a GCDC warrant.
  • Monte Marchand Sr., 46, of Nespelem. was arrested and booked on a GCDC warrant.
  • Aaron Smith, 22, of Soap Lake, was arrested and booked on two GCSC warrants.
  • David Evridge, 18, of Soap Lake, was arrested and booked on a GCDC warrant.
  • Irbin Santacruz, 23, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked for second-degree assault and obstructing law enforcement.

 

Jan. 29

  • Steven Obershaw, 44, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on two counts of possession of a stolen firearm.
