OSD needs contractors for small works roster

| December 31, 2016 12:00 AM

OTHELLO — Contractors who’d like a shot at some of the small works contracts at the Othello School District are encouraged by the District to send in a completed application for inclusion on the small works roster.

Washington law requires that school districts establish a small works roster of qualified contractors who wish to receive bidding information. These contracts are for work on public works projects estimated to cost less than $300,000.

In order for contractors to qualify the following requirements must be met:

1. Hold a Washington State Contractor’s License.

2. Pay prevailing wage rates in compliance with RCW.39.12.

3. Provide Certificate of Insurance prior to beginning any work.

4. Provide a Performance and Payment Bond in compliance with RCW.39.08 prior to beginning any work over $35,000.

5. Comply with federal, state and local laws regarding non-discrimination and affirmative action.

The Small Works Roster application is available on the Othello School District website, www.othelloschools.org/Maintenance or you may contact Sheree Cantu at SCantu@othelloschools.org.
