Donation accounts set up for Quincy collision victims
QUINCY — Several donations accounts have been set up online and at local banks to benefit the family of a Quincy woman who was injured in an collision Monday morning. Donation accounts have also been set up in memory of the woman’s two sons, who were killed in the wreck.
Anne Guerrero, 44, of Quincy, was traveling to Wenatchee from Quincy for a medical appointment Monday morning with her two sons, 14-year-old Alec Guerrero and 12-year-old Adam Guerrero, when they were involved in a multi-vehicle collision on state Route 28, about 5.5 miles east of East Wenatchee. Alec and Adam died in the collision, while Anne received multiple serious injuries.
Anne’s doctors state that all of the fractures she received in the collision are “in-place” and she will not need to undergo surgery, according to a GoFundMe page set up to benefit the Guerrero family. The GoFundMe page was set up Thursday with a goal of raising a total of $25,000. As of the Columbia Basin Herald’s press time on Thursday, over $13,000 in donations by about 130 people had poured into the page. In addition to the proceeds benefiting the Guerrero family, donations will also be used to benefit charities that held special importance to Alec and Adam.
Donation accounts have also been set up locally for people wanting to make a donation. Accounts have been set up at U.S. Bank under the names “Benefit of Anne Guerrero” and “Alec Adam Guerrero Memorial Fund.” Donations made to the Anne Guerrero account go directly to the Guerrero family, while donations to the Alec and Adam account will be directed to charities that had special meaning to the boys.
Donations can be made at any U.S. Bank branch. To donate to the GoFundMe page visit www.gofundme.com/anne-guerrero-benefit.
