| December 23, 2016 2:00 AM

December 4, 1957 – December 19, 2016

In the early morning hours on Dec. 19, 2016 in Wenatchee, Wash. our beloved Charlie's life came to an end when he lost the battle to acute spinal meningitis.

Charlie was the first child of five born to Earlene and Charlie Holman Sr. He was born in Wenatchee on Dec. 4, 1957. He lived in Moses Lake for a majority of his life.

Charlie “Dr. C” Holman was an amazing son, brother, husband, uncle, father, cousin, papa and friend. He loved being outdoors but sports have always been a major part of his life. Competitiveness ran through his veins. Charlie was a man that when you met him, you wanted to know more about him. He was always smiling, telling jokes and making the best out of every situation.

He met the love of his life Lisa Marie Isom when she was 17. They got married on Nov. 1, 1987. They had two sons together and Charlie had a daughter prior to meeting Lisa. It has always been Charlie and Lisa. They are inseparable. If you saw Charlie you knew Lisa was close by. He always said that he “loved the ground that girl walks on.” Their love is never ending. The last years of his life he was homebound and would spend hours on end on his tablet, hanging out with “lil pops” and being with his family. He loved being papa and Uncle Char. He gave each of his nieces and nephews their own special names that only he would call them. He treated some of them as his own, even raised them as his. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Charlie is survived by his wife Lisa of Moses Lake; their two sons Daryl of Moses Lake and Derek (Alyssa) of Lacey, Wash.; his daughter Charlene (Andy) Thatcher of Grand Junction, Colo. and his three grandchildren Quinton James Holman (Daryl and Teryn), Kaila'e Koa Holman (Derek and Alyssa) and Ivy Thatcher (Charlene & Andy). He is also survived by his younger siblings Nathan of Ephrata, Keith of Utah, Suzie of Salt Lake City, Utah and Wilson (Ginny) of Moses Lake. He also leaves behind his in-laws Jim and Brenda Isom of Moses Lake and many, many nieces and nephews.

The services will be held Thursday, Dec. 29 at 2 p.m. at New Bride Baptist Church on Fairview Place in Moses Lake, Wash.
