Othello woman injured in accident near Moses Lake

MOSES LAKE — An Othello woman was injured after she rear-ended a pickup truck near Moses Lake on Wednesday.

About 12:40 p.m. David Gonsalez, 52, of Warden, was driving a 2008 Dodge pickup truck south on state Route 17, about three miles south of Moses Lake, when he reportedly slowed down to take a right turn onto Road 2 Southeast. Gonsalez's truck was rear-ended by a 2000 Ford Focus driven by Clara Jimenez, 20, of Othello, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Jimenez was injured in the collision and transported to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake via ambulance for treatment. Both of the vehicles involved in the collision sustained reportable damages and were impounded. Jimenez was cited for speeding too fast for conditions, according to the patrol.
