Ephrata man, woman injured in accident near Connell

CONNELL — Two Ephrata residents were injured in a single-vehicle rollover near Connell early Tuesday morning after their vehicle reportedly left a highway and rolled.

About 7 a.m. Ryan Granlund, 33, of Ephrata, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Astro van north on state Route 17, about 12 miles west of Connell city limits, and reportedly left the roadway to the left. The vehicle reportedly rolled and came to a rest, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Granlund and his passenger, Lasean Burdue-Troxclair, 25, of Ephrata, were injured in the accident. Granlund was transported to Othello Community Hospital for treatment. Burdue-Troxclair was transported to Kadlec Medical Center in Richland for treatment. The Astro was totaled in accident and impounded.

The cause of the accident is under investigation and citations are pending.
