Cassondra Danielle Nelson (Gies)

| December 21, 2016 12:00 AM

June 24. 1985 – December 1, 2016

Cassondra Danielle Nelson (Gies) joined her mother in eternal life on Dec. 1, 2016. She died as a result of pneumonia, organ failure and other complications. While she was in ICU for over two weeks at Sacred Heart, one of her nurses said “Her stubborn personality is what is keeping her here.” Cassie was definitely stubborn and sassy. Cassie was born to Dan and Carla Gies in Moses Lake on June 24. 1985.

She is survived by her father Dan, daughter Hailey, her husband Eric, three sisters (Lindsey, Lacey and Amy), and niece and nephew Allie and Jackson, although her spirit will be carried on by many. She had her daughter at an early age and was a hard-working and caring mother while also attending college, first at Big Bend and then CWU. Cassie was passionate about family and she loved unconditionally.

Cassie will be remembered for her contagious smile and high spirits. Cassie was able to give the gift of sight to two others through organ donation. Her celebration of life will be held Dec. 23, 2016 at 6 p.m. at the Elks Lodge at 814 N Stratford Rd. Moses Lake, Wash. There will be fellowship and snacks/refreshments provided.

This is a celebration so we ask that you don’t wear black unless that is what you prefer (she did). Please stop by and share any positive memories or stories you may have that she can no longer tell.
