Dec. 14

A woman was cited for hit-and-run after fleeing an accident scene on North Stratford Road.

Police questioned a Home Depot employee who was spotted stealing a $20 bill from a cash register. The suspect admitted to stealing over $1,000 from the register since June. The woman wasn't arrested, due to her having an infant child at home.

A student at Park Orchard Elementary was found to be in possession of stolen property. The property was recovered and the student's parent was notified.

A person was spotted walking in the middle of state Route 17. The subject reportedly suffers from a mental disorder and was warned to stay off the road.

A student at Chief Moses Middle School was placed into custody for being verbally abusive with school staff. The student was released to his father. Criminal charges are pending.

Report of a dog falling through the ice on Moses Lake. The dog was able to get out of the water before emergency personnel arrived.

A student at Moses Lake High School was cited for possessing a vapor device.

Report of two BMX-style bicycles stolen from a residence in the 1000 block of North Central Drive.

A stolen vehicle was located by an officer on West Lakeshore Court. The registered owner of the vehicle took possession of the car.

A 16-year-old girl was stopped at Walmart after stealing $50 worth of makeup from the store. The girl admitted to stealing the items and was released to her mother.

Grant County Jail

Dec. 14

Casey Kolb, 22, of Moses Lake, was arrested on an outstanding Grant County District Court warrant for fourth-degree assault.

Chaz Anderson, 27, of Bothell, was booked on an outstanding GCDC warrant for minor in possession of alcohol.

Luis Sorto, 49, of Quincy, was booked on an outstanding Grant County Superior Court warrant for DUI.

Jose Oliva, 34, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on a Department of Corrections secretary's warrant for violations of probation.

Guadalupe Arousa Jr., 53, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on a DOC order of arrest and detention for violations of probation.

Hannah Culp, 20, of Seattle, was arrested and booked on an outstanding Pierce County District Court warrant for third-degree theft.

Cory Britton, 32, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on an outstanding Lincoln County District Court warrant for fourth-degree assault and third-degree theft.

Dec. 15

Jessi Newman, 37, of Ephrata, was arrested and booked on an outstanding GCDC warrant for third-degree driving with a suspended or revoked license.
