Business license reminder

| December 15, 2016 2:30 PM

OTHELLO — Rebecca Perez-Ozuna of the City of Othello informs business owners that the City will be mailing out the 2017 business license invoices on Dec. 15.

“This is a reminder to our business owners that the annual business license fee is due by January 31, 2017,” she said.

If not paid by January 31, a delinquency charge of 20 percent will be assessed on Feb. 1 and 40 percent per month will be assessed after that until the fee is paid.

Perez-Ozuna noted the City has the authority to terminate or deny water and sewer service to any property that has a business or occupation failing to pay a current business license fee.

“Please be sure to advise the City of Othello as soon as possible if you have received an invoice for your business and you are no longer in service, or will be renewing your license at a later date, to avoid further charges,” Perez-Ozuna said.

If you have any questions regarding your business license, you may contact the City Clerk’s office at 509-488-5686.
