Maria C. Silva, 94, of Othello, Wash., passed away Nov. 24, 2016 in Kennewick, Wash., with her loving family by her side.

She was born and raised in Rancho de Guadalupe, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on Aug. 12, 1922 to parents, Victoriano Valdez and Agustina Carmona. She was married to Daniel C. Silva in 1939. They enjoyed 50 years of marriage and raised seven children before he passed away Aug. 22, 1989.

Maria was retired and a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. She had a passion for gardening, sewing, and reading the Bible. She made beautiful dresses for her daughters. She did crocheting and bobbin lacemaking. She was hardworking, honest, and friendly. She will be dearly missed.

She was survived by her children: Elia Alicia (Ramiro) Rodriguez of Othello, Wash., Daniel E. Silva of Kennewick, Wash., Saul H. (Rosario) Silva of Shoreline, Wash., Delia Maria (Mauricio) Cerrillo of Mabton, Wash., Isabel Clara (Raymond) Sharp of Moses Lake, Wash. and Nilda Leila (Martel) Hermann of Arlington, Wash. She also leaves behind siblings Consuelo (Fernando) Villarreal of Nuevo Leon, Mexico, and Hermerehildo (Carolina) Valdez of Houston, Texas, 20 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren to cherish her loving memory. She is preceded in death by her husband Daniel Silva, her parents Victoriano and Agustina Valdez, her daughter, Bertha Idalia Silva and her siblings, Jose Angel Valdez and Maria Juana Perez.
